Considerable research has been performed on the design, algorithms, and marketability of ChronoWake. Additionally, there have been discussions with various professionals, including a global authority on chronobiology, a mechanical engineering Ph.D. with expertise in high-tech design, and the founder of a consulting firm which specializes in helping emerging companies create sustainable value. These individuals have helped enormously in refining the direction of ChronoWake.
As of September 26, 2008, ChronoWake has been accepted into the Wharton Venture Initiation Program (Wharton VIP). As a member of this highly selective program, ChronoWake is provided with office space, invitations to various exclusive workshops and events, the opportunity for seed funding, extensive interaction with the other ventures in the program, publicity, and group advising with an accomplished professional.
On February 15, 2009, the Innovation Fund Committee accepted ChronoWake into the Weiss Tech House Innovation Fund. In addition to $1,000 in startup funding, this allows our venture to take advantage of the services offered to teams admitted to this organization, including free access to laboratory space and equipment for development and prototyping, legal services, and more.
On March 27, 2009, ChronoWake was selected as a Wharton Venture Award winner, including a $10,000 cash prize.
